Thank you for your feedback. We are sincerely sorry to hear about the rust formation on your cast iron item.

As we discussed in our previous correspondence, cast iron is a highly reactive material. Surface rust can unfortunately develop very quickly if even a microscopic amount of moisture remains after drying. Because this is a natural characteristic of the material rather than a manufacturing defect, we are unable to offer a refund once the item has been used and developed maintenance-related rust.

However, we want you to be able to enjoy your product. Surface rust on cast iron is usually treatable and does not mean the item is ruined. You can often restore it by using the tannin from tea leaves to coat the rust:

1. Wrap some green tea leaves in a tea bag and boil them in the kettle for about 20–30 minutes.
2. Repeat this process 2–3 times until the water turns dark (this creates a protective layer).
3. After that, boil only water 2–3 more times until it runs clear.
4. Finally, if any moisture remains, heat the kettle on low for about 30 seconds to ensure it is completely dry.
